Dunja Lavrovabegan her studies with Vera Dobrynina and Olga Shapiro at the Special Music School of St Petersburg. She moved to England when she won a full scholarship to study at the Yehudi Menuhin School- first with Natasha Boyarsky and later with Maciej Rakowski, with whom she stayed until the end of her studies. She has won numerous prizes and awards, most notably the Tagore Gold Medal which was awarded to her upon her graduation as the most outstanding student of the Royal College of Music and presented by HRH Prince Charles. She has participated in Masterclasses with Mstislav Rostropovich, Pierre Amoyal, Igor Oistrach, Zahar Bron, Zvi Zietlin among others and has performed as a soloist at Wigmore Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Cadogan Hall, St Petersburg Philharmonic Hall as well as numerous other venues around the world.
